Branding for Trap City's new record label. The branding is meant to take on a a minimalistic and low-fi design approach giving it a grunge look and feel, yet keep it simple and sophisticated. The labeltag, designed to look like a real label, adds a sense of tactility, giving the cover a raw and unpolished look. The use of imagery is meant not to focus on cityscapes and skylines. Instead the branding defines a city as a playground where colors, materials and shapes come together in order to give the designer enough freedom for each release and yet always keeping the subject of the city as a central focal point of the branding.
