Bad Jax is an ongoing self-published personal IP project that leans into a familiar, bootleg take on sci-fi. The project started as a series of custom action figures, supported by a notion of visual storytelling, which ultimately evolved into a 150+ page graphic novel built in 3D. Driven by dialogue and character dynamics, it unfolds in an over-the-top, self-aware sci-fi universe that leans into a bootleg homage of the genre and becomes a chaotic, unpredictable, yet predictable, adventure.
